Abstract
Heat as medicine dates back to Hippocrates and before. In modern medicine hyperthermia is an intervention that is used more commonly as time goes forward. Older means of heat-medicine such as sauna, immersion, hydrotherapy, and other modalities all have a place in this area of medicine. In this course Dr. Anderson will discuss the effects of heat on human physiology and pathology as well as the modern research showing various, but positive, effects of all levels of heat therapies.
