Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) is an often-maligned diagnosis (in many parts of medicine). As an extension of the Mast Cell Series of webinars, Dr. Anderson will delve deeply into this diagnostic entity, its history, biochemistry, and potential therapies. An update regarding our knowledge of potential genomic influences, crossovers with other syndromes such as CFS-FMS, environmental toxicity, mast cell disorders, and others will be discussed. Latest ideas in testing and overviews of therapies will also be described.
Objectives:
- Define the diagnostic criteria for MCS
- Describe the triggers for MCS
- Describe the potential testing for MCS
