QUESTION: How often and for how long should I dose an oncology patient with IV Vitamin C?

ANSWER: This answer is based on a retrospective analysis of our BIORC IV patients and those who responded to IVC. If it is a patient new to IVC or there has been a Tx break of any time (> 4-6 weeks) I usually re-start at 2-3 IVC per week for 4 weeks then try 1X a week for the rest of the 15 Tx. If one is a “responder” (i.e. positive response in any of the following areas: QOL, tumor regression, stable disease, marker regression or stabilization etc) then it is worth continuing IVC (non-responders it is not worth it, but rather trying another IV agent or an add on to the IVC). After that (if still exhibiting a positive response) then we spread the Tx out to Q-2 weeks for a month then Q-3 weeks etc until we find a length of interval which loses the positive response and then keep maintenance at whatever interval maintained the positive response. This is usually somewhere between every 2 to 6 weeks. Average is 3-4 weeks.
