QUESTION: I had a quick question about glutathione. I read that its half-life is relatively short (a couple days), and one of our cancer patients is asking about getting it in between IV vitamin C treatments. Do you typically do the IV glutathione twice a week because of the short half-life? Also, on average, how often do you end up doing nutrient IVs in between the high-dose IVC infusions?

ANSWER: GSH won’t cancel any IVC oxidative therapeutic effect if you do it the next day. You can even do IVC the following day. If they tolerate GSH you can do it as much as you want but 1-2X a week is pretty much max if they are doing other things. The answer to how often I do the basic vitamin mineral bags is “it depends”. Sometimes never, sometimes 1 to 1 with IVC. In depleted folks we may do nutrients every 3-4 IVC, really fragile ones we start with nutrients for 2-4 IV then start IVC. Vital folks who are eating may do the whole 15 first set (at 2 to 3 IV per week) with no IV nutrients. Also, nutrient formulas vary based on what they need.
