1. A Bill is being introduced in the US House of Representatives which will amend the language FDA must follow for compounding restrictions, legal and regulatory changes. This bill would open up the compounding substances (503<a>) process I have been involved in with the Integrative Medicine Coalition (IMC). IT WOULD REVERSE THE DENIED SUBSTANCES FOR COMPOUNDING I HAVE POSTED ABOUT PREVIOUSLY – WHICH IS A HUGE WIN FOR PATIENT RIGHTS! (A link to the 503<a> process, if you need an overview, is at the bottom.)
2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO:
a. Find your US Congressional Representative (if you do not know see the link below ‘govtrack.us’ which has search by address).
b. Contact them and briefly write a message of support for “H.R.1959” stating why patient access to safe compounded medications is critical. If you or a family member have been helped by compounded medications state why (and why restriction would harm your health). If a health care professional state how the restrictions that H.R.1959 is aiming to remove would harm your patients health. Bring up that this is a patient rights and equal access issue. URGE THEIR SUPPORT OF THE BILL.
c. The Sponsor and Co-Sponsors are listed below. IF ANY ARE YOUR REP’S PLEASE SEND THEM EXTRA MESSAGES OF SUPPORT.
