Now with AMA PRA Cat-1 CME (ACCME) Credit!
This course will have AMA PRA Cat-1 CME (ACCME) credit for one (1) year after being recorded on February 18, 2025. Renewal will be done through AANP.
Abstract:
Ferroptosis is a relatively new term for a process known to biology for a very long time. It has a better understood pathway and genomic profile than previously understood. In this CME Dr. Anderson will look at the data around this process, what this data adds to our previous knowledge of ‘ferroptosis’ pathways, and how this process may be exploited (or avoided) in disease states. A clinical look at the use of iron to take advantage of ferroptosis and other oxidants (such as artemisinins’, HDIVC, O3 etc.), their appropriateness and uses will be included
Learning Objective:
- Define ferroptosis
- Describe the difference between ferroptosis and other types of cell death
- Define the biochemical triggers of ferroptosis
- Describe the pharmacological manipulation of ferroptosis
Recorded webinars will be available on the website as new courses within 72 hours of being recorded. You will be given an ACCME link after the webinar to receive your certificate. All certificates will be given through the ACCME link for one (1) year after being recorded.
